Barbara Sokol Inspired by the French Impressionists, Barbara’s work shows a love of vibrant color and warm sunlight.  This is prevalent in all her paintings.

She enjoys Plein Air (outdoor) painting and has captured local picturesque landscapes both here and abroad.  Barbara graduated from UCLA with a degree in Bachelor of Arts. She has studied with several contemporary master artists including Corinne Hartley, Joseph Mendez, and Jove Wang.

She is a member of many art associations including the Southern California Plein Air Painters and the California Art Club. She has received numerous awards for her art and has been published. Her work has been exhibited in many shows including the Annual Art Council of LACMA.

Many of her paintings are from her extensive travels abroad. Her works can be found in private collections throughout California. She and her family reside in Beverly Hills, California.
